The Holiday Liposuction Diet

liposuction dietLet’s face it: it’s not a good idea to get liposuction and then dive right into the holiday sweets and treats that surround you. In fact, now that you’ve recently undergone liposuction it’s more important than ever to stick to a diet that is low in fat and high in protein to help you keep the pounds off and tone your newly slim body. This holiday season try opting for the following foods and snacks in order to keep your body healthy and lean.

1.Pecans
Okay, so maybe opt out of the slice of pumpkin pie but as you’re hanging out with friends and family around the fire, consider munching on a handful of seasonal pecans. This holiday nut is filled with vitamins, minerals, and you guessed it…protein. Rich in vitamins and minerals like beta-carotene and Vitamin E, pecans are one of the healthiest snacks for your body to indulge in this holiday season.

2. Sweet Potatoes
Maybe skip out on the sweet potato casserole that is drenched in butter and soaked in marshmallows, but go for a baked sweet potato with a little bit of salt on it and you will get more vitamins and minerals than your body knows what to do with. Deemed as one of “The World’s Healthiest Foods,” sweet potatoes are filled with vitamins and minerals like Vitamin C, Vitamin B, beta-carotene, and manganese.

3. Oranges
So maybe you’re too old to have Santa Claus leave you an orange at the bottom of your stocking, but you’re definitely not too old to snack on this citrus fruit throughout the entire holiday season. As your friends and family grab for that popcorn and candy on the table, cure your sweet tooth with a nice wholesome orange. Filled with Vitamin C, this fruit will help you fight off any colds or flu that are around you, all while making sure you’re not indulging in too many extra calories.

Skip out on all of the cookies, cakes, and other fatty foods this holiday season and try incorporating the above three foods into your diet. Pecans, sweet potatoes, and oranges are all foods high in vitamins and minerals that won’t leave you feeling guilty the next day.
