What is CoolSculpting®?

CoolSculpting Houston TX | David Altamira MD

CoolSculpting® is a fat freezing treatment that eliminates stubborn fat safely and effectively, without surgery or downtime. This non-invasive treatment is the only FDA-cleared procedure that uses patented cooling technology to safely target your problem areas and remove unwanted diet- and exercise-resistant fat.

How Does CoolSculpting® Work?

CoolSculpting® technology safely delivers precisely controlled cooling to gently and effectively target the fat cells underneath the skin. The procedure reduces the temperature of fat cells in the treated area. The fat cells become crystallized (frozen), and then they die. Over time, your body naturally processes the fat and eliminates these dead cells, leaving a more sculpted you.

CoolSculpting® Candidates

Good candidates for CoolSculpting® have noticeable bulges in certain areas they’d like to get rid of. The CoolSculpting® fat reduction procedure is specifically designed for those who have unwanted fat that resists diet and exercise.

The CoolSculpting® procedure is not a weight loss solution for people who are obese. It is, however a non-surgical alternative to liposuction.

CoolSculpting® can treat different areas of the body that have excess fat. The most common areas, however, include but are not limited to:

CoolSculpting® Results

Coolsculpting Houston TX

CoolSculpting results are proven, noticeable, and lasting, so you’ll look and feel great from every angle. In the weeks and months following your procedure, your body naturally processes the fat and eliminates these dead cells. Once the fat cells die, they will not come back.

Patients generally start to see results as soon as three weeks following treatment, with the most dramatic results occurring over a period of two to four months. Your body will still flush out fat cells and continues doing so for up to four to six months after treatment.

How Much Does Coolsculpting® Cost?

The price for CoolSculpting® procedures varies depending on your areas of concern, the number of sessions needed, and your ultimate goals. We will discuss this during your consultation with Dr. Altamira.

Will I Need to Follow a Diet or Exercise Program?

No supplements or pills are necessary and you do not have to adopt new diet and exercise habits. Many patients feel more motivated to take care of themselves after their CoolSculpting® treatment. It is as if they get a second lease on their body and want to start anew again by taking even better care of themselves.

Following the procedure, typical side effects include temporary numbness, redness, swelling, bruising, firmness, tingling, stinging and pain. The CoolSculpting® procedure is not a treatment for obesity. As with any medical procedure, ask us if the CoolSculpting® procedure is right for you.
