Studio shot of a beautiful young woman posing against a gray backgroundIf you’re like many adults, you may be looking at your reflection in the mirror and considering what a facelift might do for you. At the same time, like many prospective plastic surgery patients, you may be hesitant to undergo surgery. Did you know that you have options beyond injectables? We are so excited about up-and-coming technologies that are achieving strong clinical results! Here, we discuss what you may want to know about FaceTite, RFAL facial rejuvenation.

What is FaceTite?

FaceTite is an office treatment that improves contours using RFAL™, or radio frequency assisted lipolysis. This energy-based technique dissolves fat cells while simultaneously stimulating prolonged collagen production and remodeling. According to clinical studies, the results of FaceTite treatment are as close as we’ve gotten to facelift results without the surgical aspect of care. It is ideal for correcting jowls, submental fullness, and crepe-like skin on the neck. This is an exciting development for adults who are ready to look more like themselves again.

Points that You Should Know

FaceTite is not surgery. However, patients can expect a little bit of downtime. We recommend taking up to a week off work to fully recover. For the first 72 hours, it is necessary to wear a wrap that is applied around the face and head. This gentle compression garment is in place to help manage swelling and to stabilize tissues that are in the early stages of collagen remodeling. Before undergoing FaceTite, patients who smoke must quit so that their bodies can heal efficiently. Some patients may need to alter their medications or supplements to reduce the risk of bleeding and bruising. Finally, before the procedure, patients should arrange for someone to accompany them to their appointment. Because treatment is often performed under mild sedation, patients cannot drive for several hours after their procedure.

FaceTite is comfortably tolerated thanks to the use of local anesthetic and mild sedation. Patients do not need general anesthesia, which shortens their recovery time. After the procedure, patients may take approved medication to manage slight discomfort and swelling. In addition to soreness or tenderness, patients may have mild numbness for a few days.
